ABOUT YOUR LOCAL FLORIST

I have always loved flowers. My mother is an avid gardener and I loved watching (and sometimes ‘helping’) her tending to her garden with love and dedication, seeing the different blooms blossom each season.

In 2020, the world came to an unexpected and temporary stop. Having spent 14 years in sales for a leading, international magazine publisher, I was suddenly at home every day, on furlough, with my two beautiful children Emily and Matthew, the gravity in my life and the ‘EM’ in ‘EM Hunt Floral Design'. Time slowed (while also remaining very busy, as any parent might understand!). I decided that this was the time to start something new: to create something out of the vacuum caused by COVID. Having always loved flowers, I decided to do what I try to encourage my children to do: to confidently pursue dreams! With the encouragement of dear friends and family, I began developing my passion for flowers into a business.

Starting with a simple and local offering, customers were able to send floral jar arrangements to friends and family when face to face contact wasn't possible. From there it has grown into a blossoming business (pun intended! Sorry…). I trained with a world renowned floristry school in wedding and event flowers and continue to learn and share with the network of amazing florists that I have come to know this year. I was also privileged to have been hired for a beautiful couples wedding in the summer. 

From everyday arrangements to bespoke creations for those special occasions, to weddings, centrepieces, Christmas wreaths (and online wreath making classes) and other floral designs for a variety of events. I love collecting together different flora and creating something unique and special for my customers and their loved ones.
